Overview
DigiD Growth ("DigiD Growth," "we," "us," or "our") is a social-media-management-first marketing service operated by DigiD, serving small and medium-sized businesses across Canada. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our booking process, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights available to you. This policy is written with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) as its primary framework, reflecting that DigiD Growth is a Canadian business built for Canadian small businesses. If you are visiting from outside Canada, please see the note under "Your Rights" below. By using this website or booking a call with us, you acknowledge that you have read and understood how your information is handled as described here.
Information We Collect
We keep the information we collect deliberately limited to what we actually need to run this business. Depending on how you interact with this website, we may collect:
- Booking information. When you book a discovery call through our scheduling page, our booking tool, Calendly, collects information directly from you — typically your name, email address, time zone, and anything you choose to add in the meeting notes field — and shares it with us so we can prepare for and conduct the call. Calendly's own collection and processing of that information is governed by Calendly's privacy policy, linked below under "Third-Party Services."
- Information you send by email. If you contact us directly at hadi@digid.ca, we receive and keep whatever you send us — your email address, your name if you provide one, the contents of your message, and any attachments.
- Basic site analytics, if enabled. If we turn on a lightweight analytics tool such as Cloudflare Web Analytics, we may collect aggregate, non-identifying information about how the site is used — for example, which pages are viewed, referring pages, general device or browser type, and country-level location. This is used only to understand overall traffic patterns, never to identify or track a specific visitor.
We do not collect payment card information through this website, and we do not ask visitors to create passwords or accounts here.
How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information described above only for purposes reasonably connected to running this website and delivering our marketing services, including to:
- respond to your inquiry and schedule or conduct a discovery call;
- prepare a proposal, scope, or contract for the services discussed on a call;
- follow up with you about your project once we begin working together;
- maintain records needed for our own accounting, legal, and business purposes; and
- understand overall website traffic and usage trends, if analytics are enabled, so we can improve the site.
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not build advertising profiles from it.
Cookies and Analytics
This website does not run third-party advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or ad-network cookies of any kind. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers — not now, and not in the future.
If we choose to measure site traffic, our intended tool is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it does not set cookies, does not use client-side storage or fingerprinting to follow visitors across sessions or sites, and does not collect personal identifiers. It reports only aggregate figures, such as total page views and referring sources. Because it does not use cookies or track individuals, it does not require a cookie consent banner.
The only cookies this site may set come from third-party widgets you interact with directly, such as the Calendly scheduling widget embedded on our Book a Call page. Those cookies are set and controlled by Calendly under its own cookie and privacy practices, not by us.
Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of third-party providers to run this website and our booking process. We chose each one carefully and only share the minimum information needed for them to perform their function:
- Calendly. We use Calendly to power the scheduling widget on our Book a Call page. When you book a discovery call, you are providing your information directly to Calendly, and Calendly's collection and use of that information is governed by its own privacy policy, available at calendly.com/privacy. We encourage you to review it before booking.
- Cloudflare. This website is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare's infrastructure. As part of providing hosting, content delivery, and basic security protection, Cloudflare may process technical information needed to serve the site, such as IP address for routing and security purposes. Cloudflare's privacy practices are described at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
We do not share your personal information with any other third party for their own independent marketing purposes.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires, whichever is longer. In practice:
- Booking details and call notes are generally kept for the length of our working relationship with you, plus a reasonable period afterward for accounting, legal, and record-keeping purposes.
- Email correspondence stays in our inbox and archives until it is no longer needed for those same purposes, or until you ask us to delete it, subject to any legal retention obligations we may have.
- Analytics data, if enabled, is retained only in aggregate form and is not tied back to any identifiable individual.
When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or anonymize it.
Your Rights
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your personal information, subject to our legitimate legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations;
- withdraw consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of your information, where applicable and subject to legal or contractual limits; and
- ask us questions about how your information is collected, used, or disclosed.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hadi@digid.ca. We will respond within a reasonable time, consistent with PIPEDA. If you are contacting us from outside Canada, your information will still be handled under this policy and Canadian law; where a framework such as the GDPR or CCPA grants you additional rights, we will make reasonable efforts to honour requests made under it as well.
Children's Privacy
This website and our services are built for business owners, marketers, and other adults acting on behalf of a business. This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hadi@digid.ca.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the services we offer, or our legal obligations. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to revisit this page occasionally. Continuing to use this website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
